JELAJAH SUDUT PEKANBARU MENGGUNAKAN BUS KOTA
Pusing dengan kegiatan yang begitu-begitu saja, wartawan kami coba pengalaman baru dengan mengelilingi Pekanbaru hingga ke sudutnya menggunakan bus. Bagaimana rasanya? Ikuti saja perjalanannya—“Ayo naik bus!”

“Aku turun di jalan Sudirman ya, nanti aku naik Bus K01 yang kau naiki,” Ade mengabariku melalui pesan singkat whatsapp.
Pertama aku harus naik bus dengan kode K01 dan kemudian transit di halte bus Wali Kota di jalan Sudirman. Karena, Lintas bus K01 hanya sampai Ramayana, jalan Sudirman ujung. Aku sedikit gugup, karena ini pertama kalinya mencoba naik bus TMP (Trans Metro Pekanbaru). Walau dulunya sering menggunakan angkutan umum di kampung, menaiki bus kota merupakan sesuatu yang baru.
Aku menunggu di halte bus TMP Universitas Islam Riau, tampak kotor dan penuh dengan coretan-coretan. Aku duduk di bangku besi panjang yang berkarat, duduk berhadapan dengan seorang pria yang mengenakan baju hitam-putih dengan sepatu silver Fila-nya. Aku ingin mengobrol dengannya, tetapi telinganya tersumbat hanfree, entah mendengar musik, atau hanya cara dia untuk tidak ingin di tegur sapa.
Aku tak tau harus kemana, tapi aku tidak ingin hanya lintas kota saja, karena sudah sering menelusuri kota dengan sepeda motor. Ade salah satu temanku menyarankan untuk mengambil jalur tujuan kantor Wali Kota Pekanbaru yang baru di jalan Tenayan Raya, kebetulan daerah tersebut jauh dari perkotaan, sehingga membuat perjalananku semakin menarik. Ade mengatakan akan ikut, dan kami berencana berjumpa di jalan Sudirman.
Lima menit aku menunggu di halte, bus dengan kode K01 tiba. Aku melihat pria tadi berdiri dan menghadap ke arah bus. Aku mengikutinya di belakang. Bus berhenti, tampak sepi di dalam, aku langsung menuju bangku paling belakang untuk lebih leluasa. Terdapat lima bangku di sana, dan aku memilih duduk di tengah. Di sudut kiriku, seorang pemuda mengenakan topi sedang asik utak-atik ponselnya. Sedang di sudut kanan, pemuda berambut gondrong bersandar pada body bus sambil mengunyah permen karet.
Tak lama, datang seorang pramugara berseragam biru memberiku secarik kertas biru bertuliskan Rp 4.000 untuk mahasiswa dan umum. Ada dua jenis tiket, satu yang aku terima, dan satu lagi berwarna putih untuk Pelajar—Rp 3.000. Harga ongkos bus ini sudah termasuk jatah free transit, selagi masih naik melalui halte transit.
Dalam perjalanan, aku segera mengabari Ade bahwa sudah di dalam bus. Ternyata whatsapp-nya tidak aktif, kegugupanku muncul kembali, karena tak ada kabar darinya. Di setiap halte aku terus mengawasi orang-orang yang menunggu bus, memastikan dia ada atau tidak di halte tersebut. Tiba di halte Pasar Dupa, calon penumpang cukup ramai, aku berdiri melihat keluar, apakah Ade ada di tengah kerumunan itu? Kecemasan aku segera kandas ketika menyadari bahwa dia berada di kerumunan itu dan masuk dalam bus yang aku tumpangi. Dengan tas ransel dan kacamatanya, dia menghampiri dan duduk di samping aku. Bangku belakang penuh dengan pria, aku merasa sempit, karena di apit dua orang yang cukup gemuk.
Di pintu masuk,aku melihat seorang nenek kebingungan, dengan kacamata tuanya nenek itu membungkuk mencari bangku. Sedikit jauh darinya, ada ibu-ibu yang bersedia pindah ke bangku sisi kiri bagian belakang untuk memberikan bangkunya kepada nenek berkacamata itu. Sebenarnya di dalam bus cukup nyaman, musik yang tidak terlalu keras membuat aku dan Ade dapat mengobrol dengan jelas. Terdengar juga seorang pria yang duduk di bangku belakang paling kanan bernyanyi mengikuti alunan musik dengan nada kecil.
Di tengah perjalanan aku merasa aneh, di lantai bus ada sebuah peringatan, “Dilarang berdiri disini!”—dekat pintu keluar dan masuk. Tapi, banyak orang yang berdiri di tempat tersebut, padahal tempat penumpang berdiri tersedia cukup banyak hingga bangku paling belakang. Memang tempat gantungan tangan cukup tinggi, sehingga hanya dapat digapai oleh orang yang tinggi pula. Makanya aku rasa mereka memilih berkumpul di sana, bertopang pada tiang-tiang penyangga. Di bagian kanan dekat pintu—ruang kosong untuk pengguna kursi roda, juga diembat mereka yang berdiri.
Sebenarnya aku merasa janggal, karena tiap halte yang aku temui tidak ada jalur khusus untuk pengguna kursi roda. Jadi, aku pikir ruang khusus itu semacam simpati yang setengah-setengah. Aku bingung orang yang menggunakan kursi roda tersebut naik lewat mana?
Di halte Wali Kota jalan Sudirman, kami transit untuk menuju ke Kantor Wali Kota yang baru di Tenayan Raya. Untuk ke sana, kami harus naik bus dengan kode K4C, bus ini lebih kecil dari bus yang sebelumnya kami naiki. Sambil menunggu bus K4C datang, aku mengamati halte ini. Berbeda dengan halte pertama, disini cukup bersih, juga ramai calon penumpang bus. Halte ini merupakan tempat transit terbanyak, ada yang akan ke Rumbai, Alamayang dan Tenayan Raya.
Sekitar setengah jam kami menunggu, bus tersebut datang, tetapi tidak langsung berangkat, karena bus ke Tenayan Raya hanya ada tiga. Sehingga harus menunggu bus transit berikutnya menurunkan penumpang, untuk memastikan apakah ada penumpang lain menuju ke Tenayan Raya. Lima belas menit menunggu kembali, bus tersebut tak juga berangkat, karena tak ada penumpang selain kami berdua. Akhirnya Bus jalan walau tidak ada penumpang sekalipun. Pramugari bus menghampiri kami dan meminta tiket, Dia merobek sedikit ujung tiket sebagai tanda bahwa kami sudah melakukan transit dan berikutnya akan membayar tiket kembali.
Di bus K4C ini tidak ada musik, sangat hening, karena hanya ada kami berdua ditambah supir dan pramugari. Sang pramugari sibuk mengobrol dengan ponselnya di bangku belakang, sedangkan kami di bangku tengah asyik mengobrol. Saat pramugari selesai mengobrol dengan ponselnya, ia kembali ke depan, bertanya kepada supir soal makan siang mereka. Di depan rumah makan bus berhenti dan pramugari turun untuk membeli makan mereka, dan supir bertanya kepada kami turun di mana.
“Di kantor wali kota baru pak” jawab kami.
“Ngapain kesana?” tanyanya kembali.
“Hanya main-main saja pak, mencoba keliling naik bus TMP ini,”jawabku dengan tawa kecil.
Supir kembali fokus pada setir bus, melintas ke jalan Hangtuah, kemudian ke jalan Tenayan Raya yang belum beraspal. Jalan berabu dan kecil itu diterobos bus, guncangannya sangat terasa karena jalan tanah bergelombang.
Kami tiba di Kantor Wali Kota yang baru—perhentian terakhir, aku tidak melihat halte bus satu pun, entah masih dalam pembangunan atau memang tidak akan pernah dibuat. Kami turun lewat pintu depan, Ade bertanya berapa lama bus selanjutnya akan datang kepada pramugarinya.
“Liat aja nanti ya,” ungkapnya sambil memegang sapu kecil dan mengibas-ngibas lantai bus.
Sambil menunggu, kami melihat sekeliling Kantor Wali Kota yang masih dalam tahap pembangunan itu. Bus menuju lokasi ini hanya ada tiga, Bus yang kami tumpangi bernomor 78, dan bus yang kedua bernomor 64, sedangkan bus yang ketiga bernomor 85. Bus ketiga ini lah yang akan kami naiki untuk kembali pulang.

Pukul 14.15, kami turun di halte Kantor Pos untuk menunggu bus transit , terlihat banyak penumpang TMP yang menunggu, kami naik bus K01 untuk menuju UIR, Marpoyan. Kepulangan yang melelahkan, karena aku harus berdiri karena tidak ada bangku kosong tersisa, disampingku anak kecil berseragam putih-biru berpegangan tiang pembatas pintu dengan bangku penumpang.
Aku merasakan gantungan tangan itu tidak begitu efektif, karena beberapa kali aku terjerambat ke kanan dan ke kiri ketika bus menyalip kendaraan didepannya, dan juga ketika bus mengerem atau menggas mendadak. Penumpang lain juga kulihat begitu, sehingga banyak yang memilih berdiri di dekat tiang.
Di tengah perjalanan, penumpang mulai berkurang, lorong bus agak lebih leluasa. Seorang pria berkulit coklat tua menggunakan kemeja putih bergaris biru tipis berumur 30 tahunan, memilih berdiri walau sudah ditawarkan duduk oleh pramugara bus. Dia tetap berpegangan pada tiang dan melamun ke arah luar. Ketika bus berhenti, kepalanya menoleh keluar dan melihat sekeliling halte, kurasa dia lagi memastikan halte tempat dimana dia akan turun. Ternyata benar, di halte berikutnya ia turun.
